Voter Services Team offers many ways for members to assist in registering, educating and encouraging new and experienced voters to participate in our democracy. This team:
- Organizes or participates in voter education and registration efforts at public events, schools, college campuses, and other venues.
- Offers voter registration training for new volunteers and interested partner organizations.
- Conducts Candidate Forums/Interviews for local elections. These events can be both live and virtual.
- Develops and executes "Promote Voting" campaigns such as working with local businesses.
- Offers to witness absentee ballots for those who live alone.
- Researches and enters data in VOTE411, which provides accurate and unbiased candidate information.
You can own and drive an effort. You can help produce an effort. You can attend our meetings and offer your ideas and experiences to enrich our efforts. We have needs for volunteers at events and for some technical expertise in using virtual tools to promote our work via our website.
Getting a chance to interact with young voters is inspiring! Each of these efforts is a chance to meet other League members and put your passion for voting rights into action.
